TANAH JAMBU, Defence Academy, Tuesday 1 September 2020 – Defence Academy held a handover ceremony between the outgoing Commanding Officer (CO), Lieutenant Colonel Amirul Adly bin Haji Ali and the incoming CO Major Pg Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pg Haji Kamaludin at the Officer Cadet School Lecture Theatre, Defence Academy this morning.
Present during the ceremony were Officers, the School Sergeant Major, OCS personnel and Officer Cadets.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a farewell speech delivered by the outgoing CO. The event proceeded with the signing of the Handing over Certificate between Lieutenant Colonel Amirul Adly bin Haji Ali and Major Pg Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pg Haji Kamaludin, thus marking the official handover of the CO. The newly appointed CO then delivered her inaugural speech. The CO has emphasised on instilling good traits and values, team cohesiveness between OCS members, being committed and selfless, maintaining professionalism and lastly to be proactive. These five lists of priorities were shared as the CO’s vision in order to achieve the aims and goals of OCS.
The ceremony continued with the recitation of the Doa to bless the event, followed by light refreshments and the presentation of mementos to the outgoing Commanding Officer. The ceremony finally concluded with a group photo session.
